This is the obelisk Lateranense: hidden from the jobs of restauration and visible.
The Commune of Rome prohibits (justly) whatever publicity in the historical center of the city.
To revolve the prohibition the sponsors of the restaurations they have gotten to be able to be publicized during these jobs.
Result: be mostly visible, the jobs that lasted 6 months can also last 1 year!

Il comune di Roma proibisce (giustamente) qualunque pubblicità nel centro storico della città.
Per aggirare il divieto gli sponsor dei restauri hanno ottenuto di potersi pubblicizzare durante questi lavori.
Risultato: per essere maggiormente visibili, i lavori che duravano 6 mesi possono durare anche 1 anno!

L'obelisco è davvero bello! (Il comune raccoglie "donazioni" dagli sponsor per il tempo di durata del lavoro?)
Quella lavatrice ha un disegno nettamente pulito ;)
Lo sponsor contribuisce al restauro, più durano i lavori e più resta in vista il suo logo.
Sono d'accordo con te sul design della lavatrice (ho tolto il nome,è una indesit). :D

Come no. Sono 18mesi che aspetto di fotografare Piazza S.Carlo qui a Torino. Diciotto mesi e il monumento equestre a Emanuele Filiberto è circondato da immensi pannelli pubblicitari... DICIOTTO mesi. Se chiedevano ai torinesi avremmo volentieri pagato di tasca nostra un nuovo monumento. Avremmo fatto meglio e prima.
