Ponte Rotto

The Emilio bridge (Pons Aemilius), today “Ponte Rotto”, is the oldest Roman stone bridge in Rome,. Preceded by a wooden version, it was stone since the 1st century BC.
Il Ponte Emilio (Pons Aemilius), oggi “Ponte Rotto”, è il più antico ponte di pietra romano a Roma,. Preceduto da una versione di legno, era stato costruito in pietra fin dal I secolo AC.


A single arch in mid-river is all that remains today.
un solo arco in mezzo-fiume è tutto quello che rimane oggi.

Another bridge.
Looked in different way, from another point of view.

Un altro ponte.
Guardato in modo diverso, da un altro punto di vista.





From the point of view of those people that don't cross it, but they live us, as in a house.

Dal punto di vista di quelle persone che non l'attraversano, ma ci vivono, come in una casa.




From the point of view of whom, it washes the suits and it puts them to dry, as in a house.

Dal punto di vista di chi, lava gli abiti e li mette ad asciugare, come in una casa vera.

Montesacro

The territory of Rome is divided in 20 great zones, said “Municipi”. Every “Municipio” is divided in “Quartieri”.
The Municipio, than is found on the Via Nomentana, (more than 200.000 inhabitants), is Montesacro.
The name (Sacred Mount) already indicates it like sacred place since the times of the ancient Rome

Il territorio di Roma è diviso in 20 grandi zone, dette Municipi. Ogni Municipio è diviso in Quartieri .
Il Municipio, che si trova sulla via Nomentana, (più di 200.000 abitanti), è Montesacro.
Il nome (Monte Sacro) lo indica già come luogo sacro fin dai tempi dell'antica Roma





In order to arrive to Montesacro, in II the century, was constructed
the “Nomentano” bridge” .
Situated at the third mile of the Via Nomentano from which it takes its name, the Nomentano bridge is the second crossing of the Aniene river, north east of Rome. Together with the Milvio bridge, it was among the most important bridges outside the city.

Per arrivare a Montesacro , nel II secolo, fu costruito un ponte chiamato “Nomentano”
Situato al terzo miglio della Via Nomentano dal quale prende il nome, il ponte Nomentano è il secondo attraversamento del fiume Aniene, a nord est di Roma.
Insieme con ponte Milvio, era fra i più importanti ponti fuori della città.

Trans Tiberim.

Its name comes from the Latin trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber".

By the time of the Republic, the number of sailors and fishermen making a living from the river had increased, and many had taken up residence in Trastevere. Immigrants from the East also settled there, mainly Jews and Syrians.
The area began to be considered part of the city under Augustus, who divided Rome into 14 regions (regiones in Latin); modern Trastevere was the XIV and was called Trans Tiberim.


Il relativo nome viene dal latino trans Tiberim, significante letteralmente “oltre in Tevere„.

In età repubblicana, le zone vicino al fiume si popolarono di quei lavoratori che avevano a che fare con il fiume, come marinai e pescatori, e ci fu una grande affluenza di immigrati orientali, principalmente ebrei e siriani. Per questo nella zona sorsero alcuni templi di culti orientali
La zona ha cominciato ad essere considerata parte della città sotto Augusto, che divise Roma in 14 regioni (regiones in Latino); l'attuale Trastevere era la quattordicesima ed era chiamata regio transtiberina.





This is “Garibaldi Bridge”, currently the more important bridge that it connects Trastevere to the center of the city.
Questo è Ponte Garibaldi, attualmente il più importante ponte che collega Trastevere al centro della citta.

Decorations

Tradizionalmente questo è il tempo dove, nelle case, vengono tolte le decorazioni di natale. Tutto torna ne nella proprie scatole, pronto per essere usato il prossimo anno. La natura, invece, ha altri tempi, e porterà le sue decorazioni per molti giorni ancora


Traditionally this is the time where, in the houses, they come removed the Christmas decorations. All it returns some in own boxes , the ready one for being used the next year. The nature, instead, has other times, and will still carry its decorations for many days.

This bridge - Il ponte

This bridge as a border as a road, bring us toward a new winter season.... beautiful or ugly little I care. The main point will be not to even lose a breath of wind of it...

Questo ponte , come un confine, come una strada, ci porta verso una nuova stagione invernale. Che sia bella o brutta m'importa poco. L'importante sarà di non perderne neanche un alito di vento...

Water and mud - Acqua e fango

Water and mud that with an impressive strength they drag all what meet. This is a "piena" and to see it fear does it really.
Acqua e fango che con una forza impressionante trascinano tutto quello che incontrano . Questa è una "piena" e vederla fa veramente paura.

Still a few minutes.. - Ancora qualche minuto..

The days shorten, the benches of the tiber are desert, on the cycle footstep any bicycle...still a few minutes and the noise it will return to reign...
Le giornate si accorciano, le banchine del tevere sono deserte, sulla pista ciclabile nessuna bicicletta...ancora qualche minuto e il rumore tornerà a regnare...

Toward the sun. - Verso il sole.

Five friends cross the bridge, they leave the shades of the morning and they go to warm up to the first ray of sun that illuminates Trastevere ("trans-tevere", over the tiber).
Cinque amici attraversano il ponte, lasciano le ombre del mattino e vanno a riscaldarsi al primo raggio di sole che illumina Trastevere ("trans-tevere", oltre il tevere).
