Tabularium

The "Tabularium" was the building constructed to Rome from Silla between the 92 and 79 b.c., that it contained all the more important actions publics(laws of the Senate, declarations of war and peace treaties...)
Il "Tabularium" era l'edificio costruito a Roma da Silla tra i 92 e 79 a.C, che conteneva tutti le più importanti decisioni pubbliche (leggi del Senato, dichiarazioni di guerra e trattati di pace...)



All these decisions were carved on tables (tabularium) of bronze, from here, the name.
Tutte queste decisioni erano incise su tavole (tabularium) di bronzo, da qui il nome.

I have the fortune to work to the center in Rome and sometimes, as this morning,I take a beautiful walk along my beautiful river.

I have returned some days ago there for a visit to an exposure of Kan Yasuda, the
Japanese sculptor who creates pure shapes, reducing language to basics.
Ci sono tornato qualche giorno fa per una visita ad una esposizione di Kan Yasuda, lo scultore giapponese che crea forme pure, ridotte ad un linguaggio di base.


The works of art have been created by the artist in Carrara marble, bronze and black granite.
I lavori sono stati realizzati dall'artista in marmo di Carrara, bronzo e granito nero.

This is a view of the first trees that encounter when I go on the snow.
There are million better views, but no landscape more is appreciate me in this moment.

Between the many damages of the ugly time of these days, this is one of strangest: in the curve before the stopped , the tramway it is derailed.

Tra i tanti danni del brutto tempo di questi giorni, questo è uno dei più strani: nella curva prima della fermata, il tram è deragliato.

Perhaps we have had of the better periods of festivity, but it has gone well also thus.
The time sure will be better and will have way than to go for fields to enjoy the nature, now we watch this winter tail that slowly slowly goes away…and we wait for the sun.


Forse abbiamo avuto dei periodi di festa migliori, ma è andata bene anche così.
Il tempo sicuramente migliorerà e avremo modo di andare per campi a godere della natura, ora guardiamo questa coda invernale che piano piano si allontana...e aspettiamo il sole.

Villa Torlonia: "noble building" .- Villa Torlonia: "Casino nobile

In the second half of the XVIIIth century Giovanni Raimondo Torlonia it became very important and made the Torlonia one of (if not the) wealthiest family of Rome
Nella seconda metà del XVIII secolo Giovanni Raimondo Torlonia divenne molto importante e fece dei Torlonia una (se non la maggiore) famiglia più ricca di Roma.





Richness brought nobility and the need for appropriate palaces and villas
The Torlonia acquired a large estate on the right side of Via Nomentana and in 1802 they commissioned to Luigi Valadier the design of its main building.

La ricchezza portò nobiltà ed il bisogno di palazzi e ville adatti .
Il Torlonia acquistò un grande appezzamento di terreno sul lato destro della Via Nomentana e nel 1802 commissionò a Luigi Valadier il progetto del suo edificio principale

The obelisk, (of Rameses II from Heliopolis - XIII century B.C.) is the second oldest and one of the tallest in Rome (some 36m high, including its plinth).
It was re-erected here in the Piazza by Domenico Fontana in 1589

L'obelisco, (di Rameses II da Heliopolis - XIII secolo a.C.) è il secondo più vecchio ed uno dei più alti di Roma (alto 36 mt, incluso il suo plinto).
Fu rialzato qui nella Piazza da Domenico Fontana nel 1589





This is a detail of a group of four fountains that surrounds the obelisk. Everyone includes a lion on a plinto.

Cold and rainy days, to Rome. Fortunately between a month it is spring (and Pasqua)!

Giorni freddi e piovosi, a Roma. Per fortuna tra un mese è primavera (e Pasqua)!

Montesacro

The territory of Rome is divided in 20 great zones, said “Municipi”. Every “Municipio” is divided in “Quartieri”.
The Municipio, than is found on the Via Nomentana, (more than 200.000 inhabitants), is Montesacro.
The name (Sacred Mount) already indicates it like sacred place since the times of the ancient Rome

Il territorio di Roma è diviso in 20 grandi zone, dette Municipi. Ogni Municipio è diviso in Quartieri .
Il Municipio, che si trova sulla via Nomentana, (più di 200.000 abitanti), è Montesacro.
Il nome (Monte Sacro) lo indica già come luogo sacro fin dai tempi dell'antica Roma





In order to arrive to Montesacro, in II the century, was constructed
the “Nomentano” bridge” .
Situated at the third mile of the Via Nomentano from which it takes its name, the Nomentano bridge is the second crossing of the Aniene river, north east of Rome. Together with the Milvio bridge, it was among the most important bridges outside the city.

Per arrivare a Montesacro , nel II secolo, fu costruito un ponte chiamato “Nomentano”
Situato al terzo miglio della Via Nomentano dal quale prende il nome, il ponte Nomentano è il secondo attraversamento del fiume Aniene, a nord est di Roma.
Insieme con ponte Milvio, era fra i più importanti ponti fuori della città.
Questa è una foto del 1850.

Football fields - Campi di pallone

They were the only FUN of the periphery boys.
Much powder of summer and mud, during the winter.
The grass did not make in time not to grow.

Erano l'unico DIVERTIMENTO dei ragazzi di periferia.
Tanta polvere d'estate e fango, durante l'inverno.
L'erba non faceva neanche in tempo a crescere.




Now, it belongs to the dogs.
The boys, have other games, but nobody, thus beautiful!
